We think you should know what it costs to run the infrastructure behind 8by3. No vague "cloud costs", no hand-waving — here is the full picture, line item by line item.

Fine print
- Some costs will grow. Backup storage, CDN and Email usage rise as we grow. Everything else stays fixed for the long term — we have plenty of overhead for growth, so the load balancer, hardware, domains, and fibre prices won't change.
- Primary fibre line not included. We also pay $90/month for the primary fibre line, but it's shared with our household, so it isn't directly an 8by3 cost.
- Electricity: $0. Our servers run entirely on solar.
- No salaries included. These are 8by3's infrastructure costs alone. They don't include any salary for our time building and running all of this.
